Getting started & connecting
How do I get started?
Start your 14-day free trial (no credit card), connect QuickBooks or your bank, and Ando shows your real numbers in a few minutes. Want to look first? Try the live demo — no signup needed.
Should I connect QuickBooks or my bank?
Connect QuickBooks if you use it — it gives the richest picture (real gross margin, overdue invoices, job profitability). Connect your bank(via Plaid) if you don't use QuickBooks — it covers cash flow and where your money is going. You can connect both, and switch later on the Connect page.
My dashboard looks empty, or says it needs more data. Why?
Ando needs some real income and transactions to produce your numbers. If you just connected QuickBooks with little history, make sure your books have the last ~90 days of income. Bank connections fill in as transactions sync — give it a minute and refresh.
Connecting my account didn't work — what now?
It's usually temporary. Make sure you finished the bank or QuickBooks login all the way through, then try again from the Connectpage. If it keeps failing, email us (below) and we'll sort it out fast.
Security & your data
Is my financial data safe?
Yes. Ando connects through Plaid — the same technology behind Venmo and Robinhood — with bank-level 256-bit encryption, and your data is encrypted at rest and in transit. The connection is read-only.
Can Ando move my money or change my books?
No — never. Ando is read-only by design. It can seeyour transactions and financials to give you insights, but it can never move money, send payments, or edit your QuickBooks. That's a deliberate guardrail, not a setting.
Who can see my data?
Only you. Every account's data is isolated — no other customer can see your numbers.
Billing & your trial
How does the free trial work?
You get 14 days of full access with no credit card required. We'll email you before it ends, so nothing charges you by surprise.
What happens when the trial ends, and how much is it?
Ando Forecast is $99/month. Pest control and lawn care owners get a Pro tier with the vertical-specific features at $149/month. Add a card to keep going — see full details on the Pricing page.
How do I cancel?
Anytime, no lock-in. Go to Settings → Manage subscription, which opens the billing portal where you can cancel or update your card.
If I cancel, do I lose my data?
Your data is kept for 30 days after cancellation. Export your accountant report from the Report page before you go if you want a copy.
Using Ando
What am I looking at on the dashboard?
Your key numbers (cash on hand, revenue, gross margin, overdue A/R), a financial health score, any alerts worth your attention, and an AI brief that translates it all into 2–3 specific moves you can make this week.
How often do the numbers update?
Bank transactions sync regularly in the background. QuickBooks figures refresh on a short cache (about every 30 minutes) since they don't change minute to minute.
What is the AI brief?
A plain-English read of your finances plus the most important actions to take — grounded in real pest control and lawn care benchmarks, not boilerplate advice. It's built to answer "what should I actually do?"
Your account
How do I reset my password?
Use Forgot password on the login page, or change it anytime from Settings.
How do I export my data?
Your accountant-ready report is on the Report page, and a full data export is available in Settings.
How do I delete my account?
Settings → delete account. That removes your data and revokes every bank/QuickBooks connection.
